We completely understand how confusing it is to start doing something on a completely new platform.  In this video, Alex describes the first steps where you should start your configuration journey.

*Quick tip – Simply add /admin or /portal after your server URL to access the admin or customer portal.

Step 1 – Company information

Config > Company Information

The details of your company information as well as each partner’s details should be entered here. This information will be used in the system templates, like an invoice, proforma invoice, quote, payment receipt, etc. Partner percentages/commission and VAT (Tax) should be selected here as well.

This section allows you to set your company logo, so don’t forget about it.

Step 2 – Tax rates

Tax rates differ in every country, so it is important to configure and set the required tax percentage.

Navigate to Config > Finance > Taxes

*Tip – Every section of Splynx has a search field as well as a global search at the top of the page.

Once your taxes are configured, make sure to update your Company Information and set the required tax rate.

Step 3 – Location settings

Administration > Location > Add

Another essential step is to configure locations where your business operates. This will help you to do a segmentation of your customers, equipment, towers as well as improve the search. It is also useful for reporting and communicating with your clients.

Step 4 – Partners

Administration > Partners > Add

Do you have companies that operate under your brand?

Partners feature enables you to create separate accounts for each sub-provider that will have its own access to the system, own tariff services, customers, routers, etc.

There are different customization options like setting up your commission percentage for partners for each payment made by their customers, etc.

For more information about Partners, please visit our documentation guide.

Step 5 – Administration

Administration > Administrators > Add

Create an account and needed role for every employee in your company.  Feel free to create as many admins as needed, you are not limited here.

There are pre-configured roles, however, you can create your own ones and grant them unique permissions and access. Simply click on the lock icon next to a selected admin to manage the account permissions.

Your employees can always update their profiles and enable 2-Factor Authentication.

Step 6 – SSL Activation

Nowadays HTTPS is a must! It is also important to have SSL configured as it is necessary for many add-ons in Splynx.

We would recommend using “Let’s encrypt free SSL Certificate”. Splynx enables you to install it just in a few clicks. Simply follow the steps described in this guide.
